Dani Loredo works for Radio Euskadi. Urtzi Urrutia at a pizza parlour. Alberto Hermoso earns a living stocking supermarket shelves in the town of Abadiño. Some of their friends, the stars of this feature, are currently unemployed, like Saioa Larrea, Iñigo Hermoso or Ana Mota. They’re all in their 20s.
This may initially seem to be the portrait of an everyday group of Basque youngsters. But these are very special people. In the first place because they share a great passion: contemporary dance. They’ve been working for years on impressive choreographies with other members of the “Despertar los sentidos” dance company. However, Dani, Urtzi, Alberto, Saioa, Iñigo, Ana and the other members of the collective are also united by the fact that they all have Down’s syndrome.
