To make Daoud Aoulad-Syad’s previous film, En attendant Pasolini (2007), sets were built on plots rented from the villagers. A mosque was built on land belonging to Moha, a local man who appears in the film. When shooting was completed, the film team uprooted and left. The locals demolished the sets, except the mosque, which has become a real place of prayer for the entire village. A complete disaster for Moha, who used the land to grow the vegetables that keep his family supplied with food.
